FAQS

Year round training program for players.
Players can change PROGRAM OPTIONS at any point during the year.
Training kits are included in the registration fee for players who register for a minimum 6 months in advance.
All players who wish choose the a PLAY IN GAMES option are required to purchase the MATCH KIT
Registration fees are paid monthly and players can opt out of the program at any time
Players can request a tryout and join at any point during the year, based on roster availability.
Training is mostly in Vancouver, however some training sessions take place in gymnasiums in Burnaby during the winter months.
Games take place in the Greater Vancouver region (primarily Burnaby & Vancouver)
If you are registered as a Full-Time Orix Academy player (Option 1) your sibling can attend at no cost for the duration of your registration pending an assessment to ensure they are at the appropriate level.
Junior academy teams play games in Academy Super League.
Players who are assessed at the appropriate level will have opportunities to play with our men’s teams.

In consideration of my participation in Orix Sports Club, I hereby forever release and covenant not-to-sue Orix Sports Club, and any of their employees, instructors, volunteers, agents, coaches, and all others who are involved, from any and all present and future claims resulting from ordinary negligence on the part of Orix Sports Club or others listed for property damage, personal injury, or wrongful death, arising as a result of my engaging in or receiving instruction in club sports activities or any activities incidental thereto, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur. I hereby voluntarily waive any and all claims both present and future, resulting from ordinary negligence, that may be made by me, my family, estate, heirs, or assigns, and I relinquish on behalf of myself, spouse, heirs, estate and assigns the right to recover for injury or death. I am aware that sportsactivities at Orix Sports Club are vigorous team activities that can involve severe cardiovascular stress and violent physical contact. I understand that participation in club sports can involve certain risks, including, but not limited to, death, serious neck and spinal injuries resulting in complete or partial paralysis, brain damage, and serious injury to virtually all bones, joints, muscles, and internal organs, and that equipment provided for my protection may be inadequate to prevent serious injury. In addition, I understand that participation in club sports involves activities incidental thereto, including, but not limited to, travel outside of Canada, travel to and from the site of the activity, participation at sites that may be remote from available medical assistance, and the possible reckless conduct of other participants. I am voluntarily participating in this activity with knowledge of the danger involve and hereby agree to accept any and all risks of property damage, personal injury, or death. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Orix Sports Club and others listed for any and all claims arising as a result of my participation in club sports activities or any activities incidental thereto, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur. I understand that this waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the province of British Columbia, Canada, and I agree that if any portion is held invalid, the remainder of the waiver will continue in full legal force and effect. I further agree that the venue for any legal proceedings shall be in the province of British Columbia. I affirm that I am of legal age and am freely signing this agreement. I have read this form and fully understand that, by signing this form, I am giving up legal rights and/or remedies which may be available to me for the ordinary negligence of Orix Sports Club or any of the parties listed above. Orix Soccer Academy provides a unique and innovative training experience for our program participants in assisting them to reach their soccer goals. Players can train and play with Orix full time or in combination with other clubs and programs.

Orix Soccer Academy’s primary focus for young players is developing the players decision-making rather than prioritizing size and strength. The player’s ability to think the game at high level generally supersedes just physical attributes alone.

Our Small Sided Training format ensures that players develop a foundation that is centered around strong technical and decision making abilities. This training format is fast paced and played in a tighter space; therefore players must learn to think and react quicker. As a result they will improve their first touch, balance, coordination, ball mastery, shooting with both feet, situational awareness, accurate passing and receiving with both feet.

We believe young players learn through repetition and practice in small areas where this development will occur naturally. We believe this is the best way to achieve accelerated development and prepare players for opportunities beyond youth soccer.

Our programs train indoors in gymnasiums from October to March and outdoors from April to September. The program allows players to train and play matches year round in a development training environment. Our training program is designed to develop the individual player’s technical, tactical and cognitive abilities (Soccer IQ).
