Project 2026

Project 2026 is a focused initiative designed to support players born in 2008 in their journey toward collegiate-level soccer opportunities. The program features a strategic training and match schedule—both locally and internationally—aimed at giving players the experience and exposure needed to succeed at the next level. In addition to on-field development, players will receive guidance on how to connect with collegiate coaches and navigate the scholarship process. As part of the program, players will also benefit from networking opportunities with current Orix players who are already competing at the collegiate level, through our spring/summer college training program.

Training & Match Schedule

Orix Academy follows a consistent schedule of 3–4 training sessions and 1–2 matches per week, designed to develop players technically, tactically, and competitively. This structure gives athletes the experience and preparation needed to compete at the collegiate level.

Our training environment emphasizes match intelligence, technical and tactical awareness, and physical conditioning helping players perform at their best and stand out to coaches and scouts. The goal is not just recruitment, but long-term success in post-secondary soccer.

August 2025 College Tour

At the end of August, Orix will embark on a 3-day tour across British Columbia to play matches against local college and university teams. This tour offers players valuable on-field experience, showcasing the physical, technical, and tactical demands of collegiate-level soccer while providing exposure to post-secondary coaches for potential recruitment.

Beyond the games, players will tour campuses outside Metro Vancouver to get a feel for university life. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to helping players prepare for the next stage of their soccer journey—whether through U Sports, NCAA, College or other post-secondary pathways.

FTF Combine March 2026

Orix Academy will participate in the Metro Vancouver FTF Combine as a team. This showcase event is an excellent opportunity for our players to compete in a high-visibility environment in front of university and college scouts from across Canada and the U.S. Participating as a team allows us to highlight our playing style and culture while giving individual players the chance to stand out. This opportunity will serve as an important step toward scholarship opportunities and recruitment conversations.

Spring 2026

Friendly Matches vs collegiate teams

In Spring 2026, Orix Academy will participate a series of friendly matches against local collegiate teams. These games are designed to give our players valuable exposure and the chance to showcase their abilities directly in front of college and university coaches.
