Tryouts
Does Orix assess players before accepting them?
Yes, players wishing to join Orix Academy will be assessed to determine they are able to play at the required level.
Training & Games
In which league does Orix Academy play their matches?
League and Junior teams play in an academy league and U18 and U23 teams play in Men’s Adult leagues.
What is the location for Orix Academy training sessions?
Orix training sessions take place mostly in East and South Vancouver but field and gymnasium availability determines days and times.
Can I play for Orix Academy and another team at the same time?
Yes, we recommend U9-U13 players continue to play with their club teams and join Orix to participate in extra league games.
Registration & Refunds
Can I opt out of Orix Academy at any point and join again later if I wish?
Yes, you can opt out at any point, however, rejoining is dependent on available roster spots at the time you wish to rejoin.
Can I be released from Orix Academy?
Yes, players are assessed every 6 months to ensure they are training and performing at the required standard. Players who are not meeting expectations will be released.
